The answers to all your q's
Where do you work?
We have a studio on NW 5th Ave in Portland where we will have your consultation, potentially your session if you opt for an indoor shoot, and then meet again for your proofing and ordering session once your gallery has been edited.
We also work outside Wherever travel is allowed during the current Covid-19 climate - whether you want to do an urban photoshoot, or something more remote - we are game to hike and explore and navigate any type of jungle for those amazing photos you want to get.
we do have travel fees for any sessions more than 30 miles from portland zip 97209 - please contact us for a quote
Who will be at my shoot?
You will most likely have both of the photographers from our studio at your boudoir session. we love to work as a team, and try to do most of our work together; however at times only one photographer may be available, and we will do our best to communicate this with you prior to your arrival.
If you opt to have hair and makeup styling, your stylist may leave at the start of the session, unless you opt to pay additional charges for them to stay for touch ups.
you may choose to bring a friend for encouragement if you're doing a solo shoot; or if you've booked a couples boudoir session, we encourage you and your partner to just plan to have fun with each other.
How long are the sessions?
Your session length is determined by a few options
· How many outfits you bring. We typically recommend bringing 2-3 outfit options, but some clients bring only one, and others bring 4+... we probably won't get through more than 2-3 but bringing options will extend your time out by a bit
· If you opt to add on professional hair and makeup services. Working with a stylist means you will most likely need to plan on an additional 2 hours of time with us.
the shoot itself will last between 45 minutes - 1.5 hours. Once we feel we have all the images we need to provide you with a full gallery we will wrap up and let you be on your way
the more you know now
the more relaxed you'll be then
Do I have to order prints through you?
We are a print based studio - which means our emphasis when showing you finished products, is to help you build memories that are tangible and something to cherish. Whether an album, folio matted prints, or a canvas for your home - we want to show you the beauty of archival printed products. At your ordering session this will be our main goal; to choose the right keepsake heirloom items for you
That being said - if you just absolutely want digital images, they are available on an a 'la carte basis; with a minimum purchase requirement of 10 images. If you do choose to go this route, you will be provided a print release in case you decide to print with another company yourself.
I definitely have body issues, but everybody does. When you come to the realization that everybody does that—even the people that I consider flawless—then you can start to live with the way you are.
— Taylor Swift
What do I need to bring to the session? I don't own much lingerie...
You will need to provide some wardrobe, but if you don't have lingerie that's ok! Boudoir can range from cocktail wear, to just a sheet, or make it just a slow strip tease from your favorite outfit. The feel of your session is up to you
we do provide some wardrobe options such as gowns, crowns and halos, full size feather wings, and leather harnesses and cuffs that can be sanitized. you're welcome to preview our wardrobe during your consult to see if there's something you may want to use
What if you simply devoted this year to loving yourself more?
I'm not a model; what if i don't like the way I look? I don't know how to pose...
Here's the thing, none of us know how to pose, and most of us aren't models. We aren't here trying to work with centerfold models - we're here to build your confidence and make you feel like the absolute divine being you are. We help guide you through posing, we'll discuss ideas at your consultation; and we will be there hyping you up the entire time.
As far as retouching images - we have a "light editing" policy. We will remove anything temporary (such as acne or bruises that will be gone in a week or two); but if its yours for life (freckles, scars, cellulite or stretch marks, or the cute side rolls you might groan about) we leave it in. This is about loving the body you're in, and we want you to embrace you as is. We promise to provide lighting and poses that are flattering and make you feel stunning.
